From its start in 1972, when the Ford Foundation made an initial investment in the creation of the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund, LatinoJustice PRLDEF has received generous support from a variety of foundations that recognize the crucial role our organization plays to uphold and extend civil rights for Latinx communities and others in the states and Puerto Rico.
