- Community Organizer Southeast Office - The Community Organizer will work out of our Orlando office and be a key player in elevating LatinoJustice PRLDEF (LJP) as the leading voice and resource of the Latino Criminal Justice Reform movement. In collaboration with our local partners, the Organizer will identify, cultivate, and educate individuals to become members of a task force of spokespersons/ambassadors to help break down some of the misconceptions about Criminal Justice Reform. - Senior Attorney, New York City Office - We are seeking to hire an experienced Senior Attorney with a strong record of commitment to social justice work to join our legal team in our New York City headquarters. The Senior Attorney will be a litigation team member and will report to the Deputy General Counsel. As part of LJP’s litigation team, the senior attorney will manage complex litigation, will lead and manage existing cases pending in state and federal court, will participate in trial hearings, and will oversee all facets of the litigation process in coordination with appropriate LatinoJustice PRLDEF staff. - Intern with LatinoJustice - We are seeking energetic, motivated law students with a record of commitment to social justice work who have excellent legal, written, research, and communications skills. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus but not required. We are happy to help students obtain academic course credit through school clinical externship programs and/or satisfy pro bono volunteer requirements at school or for bar admission. EJW Fellow Orlando - LatinoJustice PRLDEF seeking 3L applicants for 2017 EJW Florida Immigration and Community Economic Development Fellowship LJP's Southeast Office in Orlando. The fellow selected for LatinoJustice PRLDEF will be leading our new Southeast Regional Office initiative - the Central Florida Workplace Justice Project (CFWJP), with the focus on providing legal advocacy and representation for low-wage Latina workers in the hospitality industry experiencing wage theft, discrimination, harassment & other employment issues in Central Florida. Please find attached the project description for wide distribution to graduating third year law students (as well as recent graduates currently clerking or otherwise eligible).
