Jacqueline Becerra is a highly experienced litigator who has handled more than 50 trials and arbitrations, Jacqueline represents individuals and entities in a broad range of both complex civil and criminal matters. Her practice includes commercial, securities, employment, patent and trademark litigation, as well as criminal matters, including internal corporate investigations and advising clients on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Her representative matters are extensive, but include leading an internal investigation of a multinational company in Mexico with various FCPA, accounting and internal compliance deficiencies; conducting internal corporate fraud investigations and assessments in various jurisdictions and countries, including Mexico, El Salvador, Columbia, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela and Puerto Rico; and representing a U.S. citizen wrongfully convicted of a murder in Nicaragua.
Prior to private practice, Jacqueline handled complex civil matters including class action defense, constitutional claims, Title VII, Freedom of Information Act litigation and Right to Financial Privacy cases as a trial attorney for the DOJ’s Civil Division. As an AUSA conducting federal prosecutions, she had oversight for undercover operations and confidential informants, and obtained authorization for wire interceptions related to financial fraud and corruption cases. Jacqueline is a Board Member at Americans for Immigrant Justice. She is also a graduate of University of Miami and Yale Law School.
