Law Day 2016
LatinoJustice PRLDEF, New York Law School, Pace Law School, HNBA-NY Region and the PRBA cordially invite you to attend our annual Law Day on October 8th
For 33 years, as LatinoJustice’s signature pipeline event, Law Day introduces law schools to a diverse pre-law constituency. This day-long event attracts hundreds of students and over 85 law schools from across the country.
This year, Law Day 2016 will be held at New York Law School on Saturday, October 8th. New York Law School joined as our second law school sponsor in 2010. 2016 will be the school’s third time hosting the event. Since 1999, Pace Law School has generously underwritten this event, as our premier Law Day sponsor, and has hosted the program for 17 years, consecutively for the first 12 years. In 2005, we partnered with the Hispanic National Bar Association—New York Region (HNBA-NY) to consolidate our efforts to offer programming appropriate for high school students interested in law. Since then, The Puerto Rican Bar Association has joined as a cosponsor, as well as MetroLALSA, Inc.
Pre-law students will hear from expert panelists what they can expect from the law school admissions process and about pre-law services they can access. Panelists highlight the myriad careers that are attainable with a law degree, and later in the program current law students will lead an interactive “Ask a Law Student” Q&A session, during which attendees will learn about the practical expectations of attending law school.
