LatinoJustice PRLDEF seeks to hire a part time Associate to join its Development team, which includes the Development Director and Development Manager. The Development Associate (DA) will serve as a crucial administrative lynchpin for the department, providing multi-faceted administrative support for the Development Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with an intermediate level of experience who wishes to further develop their knowledge in the development field. The DA is expected to complete assigned tasks independently under the guidance of the senior development staff.
At the direction and discretion of senior development staff, the Development Associate will manage LatinoJustice’s donor database, will create and implement protocols and report templates for data entry and will manage reports; will process all incoming grants and gifts, including entering into database, processing contracts, providing detail for the finance team and drafting and sending acknowledgments and receipts; will conducts comprehensive research on donor prospects; will manage all development mailings, including maintaining lists; will prompts Capital Campaign pledge reminders; will assist the Development Team in carrying out special fundraising events with tasks including researching honoree connections, gathering ads, and other related coordination functions; will maintain development events, activities and deadlines calendars; will periodically review the organization development web pages to initiate updates with the Marketing and Communications team; will regularly review charity listings to initiate updates and will fulfill the annual Combined Federal Charities and BBB applications; will perform other duties as assigned by senior development staff.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Successful candidates will have 2+ years relevant development experience. Strong organizational, writing, research and database skills are essential. Event experience a plus. Candidates should be proficient with MS Office suite and donor databases. Must be detail-oriented and have ability to effectively handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Salary is set by collective bargaining agreement. This is a part-time position that includes no benefits.
