Maria Fernandez-Williams

Maria Fernandez is Senior Counsel and Trust & Compliance Officer, Global Compliance Programs for IBM Corporation based out of Armonk, NY.

In her current role, Maria is primarily responsible for providing legal and compliance related support for IBM with an emphasis on compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other anti-corruption laws.

Maria received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lehman College (City University of New York) in 1989 and thereafter received her Juris Doctor from Cornell University School of Law in 1992. Maria is admitted to the bars of the States of New York and California and the United States Supreme Court.

She is National Finance Director for the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA), Member of the Advisory Board of the Pre Law Institute at John Jay College and was also recently chosen as a 2011 Council of Urban Professionals (CUP) Fellow.

Maria is an alumnus of LatinoJustice PRLDEF’s educational programs.
